My award collections

So I am back on collecting awards in web community. Last time I got recognition was last year around May from Imagine FX site. It has been little over year and now I am on the mission to collect as much recognitions and awards as possible. =) *Self promoting* Got two last month and very excited that I am getting some positive reviews. Definitely I have my eyes on several publications and sites that I want to receive awards. Last month I got award from The Gnomon Workshop monthly challenge and JINX tweakfest contest. Gnomon workshop challenge theme was dragon rider and I definitely wanted to do more whimsical painting dedicating the painting to my daughter. =) I probably can spend about 3 to 4 hours really flushing out the details. I guess people got a lot of kick from the painting. =) JINX contest was really fun because I haven't really work with photography since I left the advertisement agency. I had really fun time working on it. Cheers and look for updates on my award rampage. =P

Blizzcon fan art

Not sure if my painting went through the submission... =( I had hard time uploading it on to the blizzard website. So here is my painting, probably I can use 2 or 3 more hours cleaning up... It's really hard to finish a painting to a level I want because I am juggling couple projects right now. =(

I am such a wow fanboy... =P

hey everyone!! It's been really long time since I last posted. I am not dead. =) I've been really busy with a lot of different projects. I actually taken too many works at same time and just having hard time meeting the deadline. I just got overly excited with a lot of opportunity and felt that I can handle it. =(

Anyway I actually have a lot of personal paintings I did during freelance work hunt and I would love to share them. I literally didn't have time to post them for awhile...

Once these work gets finished I'll start post more. Thanks for keep coming back and leaving comments. It really drives me to work harder and post more. =)

OH and this is just a quick painting I did recently. I have lately fell in love with more traditional painting approach. Of course I am influenced by Ashley Wood but also recently I had chance to attend Jaime Jones and Robert Kondo's workshop and just sparked my interest in traditional paintings again. More to come~!!

Looks like I'll be moving out from California. I've been really busy with a lot of stuff and now finally we have some closure. These are some test I did during last couple weeks. I actually have a lot more but other once are too specific for the project, so I can't really show them.

New Improved Dankyart

Hey everyone, it's been awhile since I last posted. I was really sick for 2 weeks and I was really busy at work. A lot of things are going on in my life. (In a good way) I wasn't going to post my stuff for a while because I want to surprise you guys with my new and improve works. =) But I guess I will just post some teaser of what's coming. I been really busy working on my portfolio with James Paick (environments), Jerad Marantz (characters) and Paul Christopher (Mech/ vehicle design). I am just totally super excited to see my work evolving. I feel really blessed and inspired to learn from these guys. I'll be also attending Khang Le and Jaime Jones demo workshop. Really busy but I am glad all this things are happening. Cheers and thank you for visiting.

I am just so inspired by Ashley Wood's paintings. I just had a lot of fun painting this, not worrying about anything but just expressing my emotion.

Game covers and Ad's I worked on last year are finally hitting the shelves. Here are some upcoming list: Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 expansion pack, Company of Heroes Tales of Valor, Heroes over Europe, and WWE Legend of Wresetlemania. Also book cover I illustrated Heroes of Valley came out but they only use my illustration for European market. =(

I changed the idea several times while I painted this. I am still unsure if I like it... I'll look at it tomorrow at the work and see if I like it. I need some rest... =P
